Experience

Through my internships and extracurricular in undergrad, I managed several different social media accounts of various sizes and audiences.

August 2021- May 2022

USUN Press Team

United States Mission to the United Nations
VSFS Digital Team Intern

Beginning in August 2021, I participated in the Virtual Student Federal Service (VSFS) internship program, through the U.S Department of State, as an intern for the United States Mission to the United Nations' Press team. Along with a fellow intern, I helped edit and produce video products for Ambassador Greenfield's Youtube account. This primarily included editing and transcribing speeches.

June 2021- September 2021

DisInfolab

William & Mary's Global Research Institute
Digital Media Content Specialist

Beginning in June 2021, I single-handedly redesigned the lab's brand and social media guidelines, website design, and total overall communications design. The goal of the project was to create a solidified, professional-looking brand, within William & Mary's brand guidelines, while still emphasizing the use of technology in our research. This redesign including shifting the social media imaging away from text-heavy graphics posts and towards eye-catching photos with explanatory captions.

June 2020- June 2021

Programming Office

William & Mary's Global Research Institute

Programming Assistant (Marketing, Communications, and Events)

Beginning in June 2020, I served as a as a member of the communications team at the Global Research Institute, a think tank on William & Mary's campus. It houses 13 research labs, funds many students' independent research, and provides networking and academic events to the campus at large. During my time here, I helped organize, market and create graphics and prose for social media posts on 4 different platforms. I learned the importance of implementing content calendars

December 2018 - January 2022

Various University Campus Organizations

William & Mary

Marketing and Media Chair, Outreach Committee Chair

During my time at William & Mary I served on the executive board for several different organizations with roles pertaining to social media and communications. In December 2018, I helped start the W&M chapter of the John Quincy Adams Society, a national organization focused on cultivating foreign policy discussions on college campuses through speaker engagements and outreach. As it was a new organization on campus, it was my job to effectively grow membership and awareness of JQAS through social media and I was able to learn how to engage different audiences and how to successfully promote events.

I also served as the Outreach committee chair for the Undergraduate honor council from 2020 to the beginning of 2022. With this role, I managed the organization's social media accounts, in addition to other outreach projects.
